The continuation

The tired children set for another activity on the same day we completed the waste management activity. It was very hot outside and we couldn’t move further.

Water conservation is the practice of an efficient usage of water by reducing unnecessary wastage. We were taken to a water conservation unit, the ground water recharge, situated in front of the college auditorium. The rain water that falls on the roof of the auditorium is sent underground though a small tunnel.

We even visited a small lake that is situated in the college premises where the water collected from the rooftop is deposited.

Our campus tour came to an end but there was much to do. We had to attend a session on water conservation on the same day.

We head towards the classroom where the session was organized. We were very well explained about the amount of water present on earth, the amount of water that can be consumed, the amount that is being wasted, the amount of water that is being polluted, etc.

We were explained about the different water conservation practices such as rain water harvesting and more. It was a small and very informative session.
